Champion Others in #PeopleSkills Chat!

Why do some people champion others and some people don’t? It’s an intriguing people skills question. Whether it’s online or in person, some people focus only on themselves while others actively encourage and champion others.

Join our global Twitter chat this Sunday Feb. 23th at 10am ET and help us dig into this curiosity. Some questions to get us thinking in advance:

  • Do people rise up in their career by focusing on themselves or knowing how to champion others?
  • When did someone champion your growth and how did it feel?
  • What exactly brings you to champion someone else?
  • How do great people skills enable you to champion others?
  • How does championing others help you — really?
  • What if any cultural differences impact how or if people champion others?

These are just some questions to get us thinking before we begin. Actual questions will post live during the chat.

So bring your personal perspective, your favorite beverage, and join me, Tom Rhodes, and the people skills global chat community this Sunday Feb. 23, 2014, 10am ET on Twitter (hashtag: #peopleskills) to discover How to Champion Others.

I also invite you to continue this chat by joining the Google+ People Skills Community, The Facebook Group People Skills That Really Matter and the LinkedIn Group People Skills Succeed to be a part of all the people skills discussions everyday 24×7.
