When I think of respect and dignity for all human beings, I also think of how stigmas create the opposite of that. Stigmas that society inflicts tear apart societies with unaddressed pain. People inflict those marks of shame on others rather than reaching out and offering help, guidance, and love. We can do far better than that in this world.
