Powerful Connections & Resonance Start w/ Courage to Be Open | #PeopleSkills

Powerful connections with others start with the courage to be open. We all have protective mechanisms to shelter ourselves from manipulation, hurt, and abuse. That’s healthy as long as we don’t have them up all the time. When we sense no danger and open up, we create powerful connections to click with others. The positive results of this resonance are infinite. So how can we be more open and find resonance with others?

Discovering Powerful Connections & Resonance w/ Others

How to Be More Open

“Be more open to others” is easy to say and it may even sound trite. Yet before you roll your eyes at the idea of finding resonance with others and think “I’m getting out of here,” take a minute and consider the following tangible facts that we all as humans live at one time or another.

  1. We all have our guard up as a healthy practice of protecting ourselves from manipulation, hurt, abuse, and worse. BUT …

  2. There are many times when we feel secure even around strangers. This is the time to ease up and drop our guard and be open.

  3. Speak up, listen more, ask questions, offer ideas, etc… I’ve been traveling for 25+ years with my business and have experienced resonance with complete strangers just through talking and listening to their story. I have discovered insights that I have then taught to others, new ideas for my business, reflections that have helped me grow personally, etc…. In fact, what each of us gains through powerful connections is impossible to list out completely. It is an endless wellspring of possibilities.

Powerful Connections – Getting Started

Ask yourself what stops you from lowering your guard and finding powerful connection with others? Fear? Self-doubt? No desire? Assumptions about others? Take time and reflect on this. You have nothing to lose and yes, everything to gain.

Finding resonance with others in your personal life and in your work life (co-workers, colleagues, those you lead/manage, customers, teammates, etc…) can create growth, success, and happiness that you cannot find any other way.
